First Bikram class and Farmer's Market finds
Started my day at the Farmer's Market, where I got apples, tomatoes, red and purple potatoes, broccoli (already chopped, nice!), bell peppers, a small bag of assorted micro greens, and a BEAUTIFUL bunch of dill. Once again, our fridge is stuffed to the brim with meat my fiance is going to grill, leftovers of my lentil soup, and tons of produce. I'm definitely spending a lot of money on groceries, but saving money by not going out to eat, so I think it balances out and it's definitely better for my body to not be eating out all the time.
After going to the Farmer's Market, I continued my day of awesomeness by going to my first Bikram yoga class. I got a groupon that lets me try out a bunch of different classes, but I can only go to each place a maximum of 10 times (some places, even less). This was my first yoga class ever, and doing yoga in a 105 degree studio was rough. Everyone in the studio was dripping sweat, and by the time I was done, my clothes were a different color because they were completely soaked through. The hardest part was the beginning of the class, we did a lot of standing floor work... I had read that beginners sometimes get nauseous and lightheaded, but it was so bad that I had to sit down every few minutes and sip water.
I definitely feel invigorated now and want to try the class again next week. Hopefully it's easier then.
Any of you guys ever taken bikram or another hot yoga class?
FUEL:
1/2 cantaloupe and cottage cheese and 1/2 a kombucha

I love yoga but I've never taken a "hot" yoga class.
no, i have never even done yoga but i wanna try. and bikram. and the one where they use..whatsitcalled...like acrobat stuff lol. make sure you stay very, very well hydrated before you go!
Yoga scares me. I'm not flexible, at all and have horrible balance. Lolz. But, congrats on getting a good work out. Changing color clothes indicate work put it. Hehe.
